About

Otoacoustic emissions (OAE) hearing screening has been used widely in hospital-based newborn hearing screening programs, including in RS Hermina Tangkubanprahu. It is clinically important because this is the basis of a simple, non-invasive test for hearing defects in newborn babies and in children who are too young to cooperate in conventional hearing tests. The OAE has been the Hospital’s featured product since its initiation in 2006, supported with KTK facility.
